Gretchen, Jamie and I went Kayaking in Portage Bay today, using the kayaks from Agua Verde Paddle Club. It was a beautiful overcast day, with a bit of rain now and then.
First the sacred ritual of the sunscreen application. Jamie inherited the Irish skin of his Viking ancestors.

After all this hard work, we stopped by the Agua Verde Cafe for lunch. Salmon tacos for me, Jamie had carne tacos, and Gretchen had the shrimp tacos. She also ordered mashed potatoes, which in this case was almost the consistency of soup, and a bit spicy. Very good!!
