Low Tide

It's been raining almost every day for the last few months, and 48 hrs straight the last two days. Even the old timers are getting water-logged. The rain broke, and the sun was peeking between the clouds, so I took a walk to see what it was like not to have the rain in my face as I walked.

The tide was really out this morning. I'm standing at water's edge, looking towards the park offices.

Lots of stranded sea stars, waiting for the tide to come back in. Luckily for them, there are 4 tides a day here, so it goes out and comes back in fairly quickly. This one looks like it was nibbled on.

A couple of weeks and we are out of the rain, heading back south on the ferry!
