Tonnerre

Hello to all from rural France. Sorry for the dearth of blog posts, but there aren't  too many wifi connections here in this part of France. I am sending this from Sens, France in a cafe in the town center, while enjoying a cup or two of cafe with creme :)
The towns and surrounding areas are very beautiful and draw in the eye with their quiet timelessness. The architecture appeals to me the most. Cookie cutter housing or commercial buildings do not exist in this part of France!
The following pictures are from Tonnerre:
Beautiful house by the canal!

Walking from the B&B back to the boat.

Walking to the Fosse Dionne.

The following pictures are of the Fosse Dionne. This is an ancient washing area and water source. It is sourced about 43 kilometers away and it is unknown how deep it is. The authorities have prohibited any more divers from trying to find its depth as three divers have died trying to find out.

If you want to practice your French.

The last picture is from Flogny, showing the lock keeper's residence.

I hope to keep the pages flowing now as I travel farther down this path. The towns are getting bigger (for now), so the wifi should be more readily available. The bread and cheese are superb here!! Not a splenda packet in sight, but the sacrifice is worth it :)
Au revoir my friends! Peace to you all.
