High Surf

We went to the Place of Refuge and found that the surf was about to pound the shore!

Walking out to the sea edge.

The big surf was just starting to arrive in Kona as we went walking about in the tide pools..

His jaccuzi. He's keeping his eyes on the surf as it starts to come in!

He got out of the pool and was exercising, or calling in the surf (not really sure).

Maybe he was calling the surf in!

We skitter back to safer ground as the surf starts to pound the shore.

We were walking in there a few minutes ago, looking down into the tide pools.

It's not all black lava here.

 Rusty lava.

Kirsty on the rocks!

These next two pictures show how clear the water was when we were walking in the tide pool area. The sandal and the rocks are under about 2 feet of water.

Sitting down to take some pictures, then looked up. Piece of advice, don't sit under the coconut trees!

Peace my friends!
