Leaving, On a Jet Plane

Well, the time has come to bid au revoir to Ireland, at least for a bit. My lovely bride and I departed on the first part of our honeymoon from Westport to Dublin on the train, staying the night in Dublin. We flew the next day to Manchester on Aer Lingus, then hopped on a Qatar 777 to Hamad International in Doha, then onto a Qatar 787 to Cape Town. Word of advice: the 777 is nice, the newest plane from Boeing, the 787 Dreamliner is only a dream for the owners of the airline as they can cram sooo many passengers onboard. Avoid it at all costs if you are over 4 feet tall. After 20 hours of flying about, we were ready to leave the planes behind and spend a few days relaxing in Cape Town.

Happy camper waiting for the train.

Feet behind the line, waiting patiently.

 Here it comes!

Hamad International is apparently the most technologically advanced airport in the world. So they say. At 2 am, it looked a bit different, kind of bleary actually. But clean. Very clean.

View from a Cape Town coffee shop (who would have thought we would be in a coffee shop!) of Table Mountain. We are going up there soon, more blog to follow.

Peace my friends!
