Country Living at Fattoria La Vialla

We drove into the Chianti region of Tuscany to visit one of the oldest organic farms. Kirsty's mom loves their products, so we stopped in to see what the fuss was all about. It is a little hard to find, with small signposts just at the turn. So, a few u-turns later and there we were.

Road up to the farm.

Road past the bottega (shop) on up to the casa grande where the Godfather lives. That's him wandering down the road.

Where we got Sharry's goodies.

Cookie dough.

Ugly, but very tasty cookies: eggwhites, sugar, hazelnuts, almonds and orange-peel (from Sicilian oranges). Had to try some to be polite.

Bottling olives, oranges and chilies together.

Flour mill.

Nice delivery truck!

 Zee Germans were all over.

Not sure I understand these. . .

Ciao, ciao, ciao Fattoria La Vialla!

A few pictures of the drive to and fro:

The bridge, Ponte Buriano over the Arno river, depicted in the Mona Lisa (see below).

So many towns like this, I lose track of the names!

In front of a house by the farm. Notice the front of the mailbox!

Peace my friends!
